BJP UT Secretary Mudasir Wani, IT Co-Convener Sartaj Majeed Given Warm Welcome in Handwara

The newly appointed UT Secretary of BJP, Mudasir Wani, and IT Co-Convener UT, Sartaj Majeed, were warmly welcomed by party members and supporters during a special programme organised at TRC Handwara on Saturday.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from scores of BJP workers and senior leaders who gathered to felicitate the newly appointed office bearers.

While addressing the gathering, Mudasir Wani expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and said he has been associated with the party for the past ten years. “It is an honour to be appointed as the UT Secretary. The central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been implementing people-friendly policies, which is why BJP continues to be the most loved party among the masses,” he said.

On the issue of statehood, Wani criticised the National Conference and Congress for politicising the matter. He reminded the gathering that both the Prime Minister and Home Minister have already assured on the floor of the Parliament that Jammu and Kashmir's statehood would be restored at an appropriate time.

He said that National Conference (NC) has betrayed the public trust by failing to fulfill the promises made in the election manifesto. 

The programme concluded with slogans in support of the party and renewed resolve among the workers to strengthen BJP at the grassroots level.
