CMO Kupwara Conducts Surprise Visit to NTPHC Nagri,

Kupwara, July 12:

In an unannounced move, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kupwara, Dr Masarat Iqbal Wani, on Friday visited the New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) Nagri to assess healthcare delivery and functioning of the facility.

During the inspection, the CMO reviewed several key sections of the health centre, including the general ward, immunization unit, and OPD services. He interacted with medical staff and stressed strict adherence to hygiene protocols, accurate documentation, and efficient patient care.

Later, Dr Wani visited parts of Nagri village, which has recently witnessed an outbreak of Acute Diarrhoeal Disease (ADD), affecting dozens of residents. He reviewed the on-ground situation and took feedback from health teams engaged in the response.

The CMO instructed officials to step up surveillance, and carry out community awareness drives to control the spread of the disease.
